The Department of Science and Technology is a specialized agency of the provincial People's Committee which performs functions of State management on Science and Technology, including Science and Technology activities; development of Science and Technology potentials; intellectual property; standards, metrology and quality control; atomic energy, radiation and nuclear safety; and State management on public services in fields under the Department’s management as stipulated by law.
